About DarRce Leonard, NP

Born and raised in Decatur, Georgia, DarRce Leonard always knew her calling was to become a nurse. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Clayton State University in Morrow, GA in 2013. During her time in the nursing program, she fell in love with women’s health and labor and delivery. DarRce worked as a nurse for five years in women’s health (3 in labor and delivery and 2 in postpartum) before furthering her education. She received her Master of Nursing at Georgetown University with a dual focus in midwifery and women’s health nurse practitioner.


DarRce is passionate about caring for women in all stages of life. From educating preteens about their bodies and normal, expected changes to helping teens and young women appropriately care for themselves to caring for women as they carry life inside of them and supporting them through their desired labor and delivery to encouraging the lactating mother to educating perimenopausal and comforting menopausal women, DarRce enjoys it all! She believes every woman deserves the highest quality and highest level of evidence-based care. She is all about informed decision making and partnering with women to develop an acceptable plan of care tailored just for them!
When DarRce is not caring for patients or researching ways to serve her patients better, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys. She also likes reading, watching movies, and playing board games.
